Swings into Action
PN
UNI System hardware from Groupco has been specified for replacement
windows for the UK head office of Eschmann Equipment, the market leading
hospital equipment manufacturer. The fully reversible PN UNI groove
system offers a flexible solution for all window styles together with
emergency egress, window restriction and easy cleaning.
Gloucestershire-based Cotswold Windows completed fabrication and installation
of new PVCu windows as part of the refurbishment of Eschmanns
three-storey premises in Lancing, West Sussex. A total of 165 top swing
reversible windows, each approximately 6ft x 4ft, have been installed
to replace the buildings outdated aluminium vertical sliders.
Established for over 25 years, Cotswold Windows specialises in high
quality PVCu products for both the commercial and domestic markets.
Reversible windows are a popular product line and we particularly
like the PN UNI System from Groupco because its so quick and easy
to fabricate.
Unlike other fittings of this type, it needs very little machining and
just screws into the window profile, says John Davies, Managing
Director of Cotswold Windows.
Besides ease of fabrication, the PN UNI System is also fitter-friendly
and simple to operate and maintain. Once installed the window can be
reversed 180o for convenient cleaning from the inside.
A long established supplier of quality door and window fittings, Groupco
was appointed UK distributor for the PN UNI System Universal Hardware
for Windows by Peder Nielsen of Denmark almost two years ago. The System
can be used for top swing, side swing, projecting top hung, projecting
side hung and side hung window styles. The universal groove fixing is
suitable for use with PVCu, aluminium, timber and composite profile.
PN UNI System hardware is designed to ensure a similar aesthetic appearance
for all window styles, irrespective of individual window function. Featuring
a sturdy construction and low maintenance, the PN UNI System was developed
to meet the latest UK demands for strength and function. Copies of relevant
test reports are available on request.
