Former Notts County Chairman Takes the Plunge with Siegenia-Aubi

The Nottinghamshire mansion of former Notts County FC Chairman now has stylish new patio doors thanks to a hardware solution from window and door hardware specialist Siegenia-Aubi Ltd.

The doors are manufactured from the golden oak Selecta PVCu range of profiles providing a timber appearance to the exterior and lead from the Scandinavian style swimming pool room onto the patio area of Derek Pavis' home.

Fabricated and installed by Nottingham-based fabricator Basford Trade Windows, the tilt and slide doors feature the Selecta PVCu system and Siegenia-Aubi hardware.

Says Craig Deaton, managing director of Basford Trade Windows Ltd, 'lt is very hard to find tilting sliding doors of this kind. We knew that Siegenia-Aubi's PSK 160 door hardware could be manufactured to our specific requirements and therefore offer the flexibility we needed for the installation.'

He adds, 'The market tends to be focused towards straight sliding doors, and
consequently there are only a couple of companies who supply tilt and slide door hardware. Given Siegenia-Aubi's quality and reliability, it was an easy decision to specify their hardware for this unique installation.'

The PSK 160 has been specifically developed to suit sculptured or chamfered profiles. With a Load bearing capacity of 160Kg, the high performance hardware is suitable for timber, PVCu or aluminium patio doors and is equally effective on chamfered or standard profiles.

A slimmer design gives the PSK 160 greater sash to frame clearance of122mm. This, in turn, creates a greater distance between the handle and external sash face, allowing easier operation and improving the overall ergonomics of the door.
