Veka
Products Enhance New lsle of Man Ambulance Station
Veka
PVCu
products including casement windows, residential doors and French doors
have been installed as part of a major new build project for the Health
Services Division of the lsle of Man Government. Fitted by long-time
Veka fabricator Manx Glass and Glazing, the Veka products were chosen
as a lasting, low maintenance solution for the new ambulance station
and sheltered health service accommodation in Port Erin.
A steady rise in demand for ambulance services on the Southern part
of the island had been monitored by the lsle of Man Health Services
Division for some time, and the decision to build a new ambulance station
complex was made according to the service's commitment to improve upon
a maximum eight minute response time. Auldyn Construction, the main
contractor for the project, appointed Manx Glass & Glazing due to
its service record and the quality of the Veka products.
Greg Turner of Manx Glass and Glazing is pleased to have been involved
in a significant local project: 'The construction of this new ambulance
station and sheltered accommodation is of key importance to the southern
community and will make an enormous improvement to the area.
'The design of the building is such that it blends in well with its
surroundings. It has been very well landscaped and the use of Veka windows
and doors has added to the subtlety of the design.
