However, with Glassex rapidly approaching, it does beg the question which we have posed on The Gl@zine before: if you reckon that your company's offering is as good as, or better than the 'best' in the marketplace, why not use the tried and tested method of measuring it against its peers at a trade show, rather than through lawyers or spin doctors?

Glassex is trying very hard to make this year's show more interesting to both exhibitor and visitor alike. Among several new initiatives the organiser is launching a Conservatory Design Award, which companies with good installations should think seriously about entering as it offers a chance of some excellent free publicity. More about that below.

Tony Higgin Exhibitions and Awards Events bring people together, they aim to be collusive, not divisive. And even when sparks fly, as they often do when rivals face up to each other, a bit of 'healthy competition' is rarely unproductive.

The sympathetic refurbishment of formerly derelict Woodhouse Mill, a six-storey Grade II listed building situated on the bank of the Rochdale canal on the outskirts of Todmorden, features Kawneer's GT70 windows, which have been installed by SG Aluminium as replacements for the mill's original steel windows.

Ultraframe UK has updated its popular Uzone CD-rom with a host of new product innovations, including the availability and use of 25mm polycarbonate and foils. In updating the CD-rom, Ultraframe also cut out six seconds of film, after Eurocell complained that its packaging could be glimpsed in one shot of two seconds and another of just four seconds.
