January 9th, 2004 saw one of the world's largest solar power plants in Neustadt, Germany join the grid. What Price Our National Heritage?
In the run up to Easter, when some of us might actually make it to a building with a bit of stained glass in the windows, it seems entirely appropriate that our lead story comprises the rather shameful news that one of the most important UK archives in this area of glass and glazing could be lost to us and sold to overseas bidders. The archive is from the specialist firm of G. King & Son of Norwich, which is closing down after over 80 years in business.

Amazingly, the reserve price on the archive is less than £14,000, admittedly more than I have in my spare change jar, but still a fairly paltry sum when you consider how important this archive is.
