Glass, customer of Edgetech IG Inc, has become just the
second company in the UK to achieve a British Fenestration Rating
Council ‘C’ rating on a casement window, under the Window
Energy Rating Scheme. Since the BBA upped the standards in 2004 for balance and hardware
endurance testing to whole window testing for at least 20,000 opening
cycles, Masterframe Windows Ltd
says that it is the only PVC-U vertical slider company in the UK
to have met them. The Brunswick Centre in Bloomsbury, London – the winning project
of the 2005 ‘Activ in Architecture’ competition organised
by Pilkington - was the scene
for a presentation ceremony. Duraflex
was formally recognised as a member of the Secured by Design (SBD)
official police security initiative during the Chartered Institute

K2,
the conservatory system manufacturer, recently demonstrated

process which the company says is quickly leading to the establishment

Updated
estimates of residential change in England up to 2004 indicate
that in 2004, on an updated provisional estimate, 70 per cent
of new dwellings were built on previously-developed land, including
conversions. This compares with 67 per cent in 2002 and 2003.
Before 1997 the level fluctuated around 57 per cent.
