'Tis the Season!

Christmas or not, Pilkington is giving nothing away, and has rejected the third offer from NSG, at 155p per share. Analysts seem to feel that NSG is the company with most to gain from the acquisition, with Pilkington providing the possibility of access to dozens of countries worldwide, including a dominant presence in China's emerging car industry. Hence NSG's shares dropped to a 19 month low on the announcement.

Other interesting developments this week include the launch of a new emergency glazing franchise business 0845 Glassman, by nursery school supremo Carole Melia and her partner Wayne Pitt. We are also given a prediction for 2006 from LB Plastics production director David Strang, who reckons that 'green' will be the hot topic for the year to come, plus a retrospective analysis of the year gone by from Mike Davis of Windowbase, who was surprised to learn that company 'volatility' has returned to pre-FENSA levels.

The outline of the project at Fontwell Racecourse, Fontwell, West Sussex included several extensions to the existing Owners and Jockeys Bar at the racecourse, with one of them being a glazed conservatory enclosure. Some of the existing boundary walls were to be rebuilt to form part of the new dwarf walls.
