Glassrobots
offers updated Rainbowmaker
Stand GP001
Glassrobots, Finland is introducing new versions of the Rainbowmaker
TSF Series of bending and tempering systems. These allow bending and
tempering of increased glass sizes, the maximum glass size of the Combi
version being 3.500 x 2.600 mm and those of the Turbo version 2.500
x 3.500 mm and 3.500 x 2.500 mm.
Due to the girth in these two new versions, the system incorporates
an automatic middle support. The Rainbowmaker TSF enables production
of glasses with smaller girth and "standard" height, as well
as bigger girth with lower height.
In this horizontal bending & tempering method the glass is heated
in the heating oven close to its bending temperature and the bending
process is continued inside the heated chamber. This eliminates the
need to overheat the glass and results in optically flawless glass.
This method also eliminates size limitation.
The system does not use expensive ceramic molds, but utilises a patented
module type bending mold.

As
a novelty, Glassrobots will present the only jumbo size serial-made
furnace on the market, called the Dumbo DBF. The furnace is designed
for special bendings and large glass sizes, allowing the bending of
glass pieces with the max. size of 3.200 mm x 6.000 mm. For loading
and unloading, the bottom of the furnace is pulled out on rails and
returned back into the furnace after loading with the mold and the glass.
Preheating, bending and cooling take place inside the furnace. For the
cooling process, there are vents on the roof. The heating elements are
optimally situated in the roof, on the bottom and on the walls to avoid
cool areas near the walls.
When producing smaller glass bends, the capacity of the furnace can
be doubled by dividing the furnace with a partition wall into two individual
furnaces. The size of the sections is then 3.600 mm x 3.200 mm each,
and they both have their own base.
Demand for flat tempered and laminated glass has made laminating lines
for cut to size glass very popular. Glassrobots' flat laminating lines
are especially designed for the purpose.
On the automotive side Glassrobots offers the company's patented and
proven FuzzyBend bending system, a fully automatic control system
for the TFA and LTFBA windscreen furnaces, as well as all other technically
advanced solutions. High Speed TFA-HS furnaces with greater capacity
are now available.Glassrobots product range comprises bending, laminating
and tempering technology for automotive and architectural safety glass
applications.
The service also covers plant lay-out design, know-how, installation
and commissioning, training of operators, maintenance & after sales
services.
