Versatile - the One-Man Roof System
Stand A021

Since 1988, Versatile has been a regular exhibitor at Glassex and 2002 will be no exception. For fabricators and installers seeking an attractive conservatory roof system, with all round benefits, Stand A021 is an ideal place to visit.

The Versatile Roof System is claimed to be a practical combination of innovative design, materials and production methods, allowing fabricators simple, fast production, whilst the adaptability of the product and ease of installation appeals to trade customers.

With only eight major parts to assemble, the company says that existing customers of the Versatile System are convinced that it is now a one man job to construct a roof.

The Versatile System provides design flexibility and a creative alternative to other domestic roofs on the market. Its adaptability allows construction in awkward applications, such as properties with low eaves, or the ability to incorporate a chimneybreast.

A GRP pultruded ring beam provides positive dimensional stability for the overall structure, which is increased further by steel reinforced joints and an innovative cleating system, allowing a variable angle from 90 external, to 90 internal. An additional benefit of the new ring beam is the option to supply in sections where required, providing a solution for applications where there is restricted access to site.

Consisting of a glazing bar, end bar and hip bar extrusions, with PVC main sections including formed in gaskets, the roof bar system offers a comprehensive range of styles with glazing options of 16mm and 25mm beads, complete with co-extruded gaskets to add to the simplicity of installation. External and internal ridge covers are located to stops, whilst internal covers are located using concealed, re-closeable fasteners for neatness as well as speed.

There is also a decorative dentil ring and optional box gutter available for the roof system, plus a range of moulded PVC end caps for a professional finish. The Versatile System is also offered in a wealth of colours to suit all tastes.

The Versatile Roof Vent can also be seen on the stand. It is suitable for use with glass or polycarbonate, but there are no beading requirements, so installation is simple and fast.
