WINDOWLINK
PLEDGES TO CHANGE SALES PROCESS
Stand D040
Windowlink Ltd, a developer of computer
software specifically designed for the glass and glazing industry, has
pledged to change the window sales process forever with the introduction
of fully automatic pricing packages for its popular Vector and Focus
sales presentation programs at Glassex.
The inclusion of automatic pricing for both programs means that a window
salesman need never calculate a customer's order total from a printed
pricelist ever again, an initiative which will make a tremendous difference
to the sales process both short and long term. Companies who take advantage
of what automatic pricing has to offer will save both time and, ultimately,
cost as fewer errors will be made by salesmen having to hastily work
out complex on-the-spot manual calculations in the home or showroom,
Windowlink suggests.

The
full pricing facility uses stored price lists for initial calculations
and then adds any extra charges for features such as woodgrain or obscure
glass, allowing the salesman to produce an accurate quotation for the
customer quickly, clearly and efficiently. Any changes made to a design
already chosen and quoted can be easily made, viewed and approved immediately
by the customer, again avoiding unnecessary confusion.
Vector is a fast, easy to use conservatory sales presentation program
able to incorporate actual cross-sections of the profiles used in the
program so that images of the conservatory appear as they actually would
look like. Focus offers similar benefits for window and door panel sales,
with designs incorporated into full colour quotation and survey sheets.
In addition, Focus now also offers the option of a fully integrated
Georgian layout facility, enabling customers to see exactly what their
windows will look like and confirm their choice of windows before they
are made.
Windowlink will be grabbing attention with a 42" plasma screen
used to demonstrate exactly how easy and quick both Vector and Focus
are to operate, an attraction which previously brought crowds of visitors
to the company's stand at Glassex 2001.
Also being introduced at Glassex are two new packages, Windoweeze and
Vector Sprint. Windoweeze is a new, low cost starter production software
package for manufacturers which includes basic Georgian layouts, manual
quotations and the ability to combine products such as casement top
openers in tilt and turn windows, often used for fire exits.
Vector Sprint has been introduced as a low-cost entry-level version
of Vector, yet the key qualities that have made the full version so
popular remain. Users will quickly be able to produce drawings, accurate
base plans and quotes, also superimposing a highly realistic image of
the conservatory on a digital photograph of the customer's house. Vector
Sprint is ideal as a starter package for sales staff who are taking
their first step into using computer aided sales presentations, or for
experienced users who do not require some of the additional sophisticated
functionality that is offered by the full program.
Also on display will be a new version of the popular Windowlink production
software WINDOWS for Windows. Version 4 of the package now includes
options for basic Georgian layouts, profile optimisation, links to electronic
saws and stock control as well as being fully network compatible.
