Our Client:

Our client is a well established and successful manufacturer of PVCu windows, doors and conservatories, providing solutions principally for the commercial sector from their Midlands base. Due to a recent expansion they plan to create an equally successful operation from a modern purpose built unit in Durham. A fully fitted office, production line and order book is in situ, but the senior management team seek a dedicated General Manager to develop and grow the business for them.

Role:

The successful candidate will develop and manage the complete manufacturing operation including planning and procurement. In addition installation and project management operations from this site will report to the successful candidate .You will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of all procedures, including quality, H&S, HR, KPI’s, continuous improvement etc. You will actively participate in the management of the Company, setting strategies and meeting or exceeding annual budgets and targets.

Candidate:

* Ideally you will live within a suitable commuting distance to Newton Aycliffe
* It is crucial that applicants should have experience of all elements of PVCu window and composite door fabrication, together with a good grasp of the contracting process
* Experience or awareness of lean manufacturing would be advantageous but not essential
* Your management style should be firm but fair, persuasive and motivational
* This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity, so you will need to be hungry for success and highly ambitious.
